56 Chevy Pickup Illustration

Check it out… My first car (truck)!!! My 1956 Chevy pick-up ‘O’l Blue’ still looks pretty good for being damn near 55 years old and still sits in the driveway to this day. It doesn’t see much road time anymore (the price of fuel in “Ol’ Shakey” sucks) so I decided to give it some drawing time.
Drawn as a project for a illustration class I was teaching at a local vocational college – second term students trying to master the mesh tool (just like I did, so I knew their frustration). Same old thing all mesh and blends with the exception on the rims (experimented with the “Live Trace” operations of CS2) – when time allows I’ll go back and do it right. “Live Trace” is ok but I think I can do a much cleaner job.
